SERVICES

We make sure all our new patients feel welcome, safe, and taken care of.

Dr McEwen is able to perform almost all services, from cleanings to implants, fillings to extractions.  This reduces the likelihood that you will be referred to a specialist for simple procedures.

Each procedure will be thoroughly explained so you know what will happen before you come for your appointment.  If you have any question, don't hesitate to ask Dr McEwen.  He wants to ensure that every patient if comfortable before ever getting in the chair.

CLEANINGS
FILLINGS
CROWNS
ROOT CANALS

Dr. McEwen takes the time to personally clean his patients' teeth.  Regular cleanings help prevent cavities and maintain healthy gums.  Gum disease is the leading cause of tooth loss in adults. Diagnosing and treating gum disease early can help prevent irreversible long term consequences.

A filling, also known as a bonding, is a simple procedure that removes decay and replaces it with a tooth colored material, restoring the tooth to a healthy state.  Decay is the tooth's worst nightmare.

Diagnosing decay early is one of the most important reasons for regular check-ups.

A crown, also known as a cap, is a procedure that restores the tooth after either a fracture or extensive decay has harmed the tooth. The tooth is prepared for the crown and an impression is taken of the tooth.  The crown is made by a skilled dental lab technician and cemented over the tooth. It looks and functions like your tooth.

A root canal therapy is needed if the nerve inside the tooth becomes infected from extensive decay or inflamed by other factors. The infection is removed and the tooth is disinfected. The benefits of a root canal are many, and the best is that the tooth is able to be saved. Dr. McEwen can complete root canals on both front and back teeth.

CLEANINGS
EXTRACTIONS
IMPLANTS
BRIDGES
PARTIALS

If a tooth can not be saved, sometimes removal is the only option. Dr. McEwen is experienced in all extractions, both front and back teeth, simple or complex. Third molar or wisdom tooth extractions can also be done in the office. If an extraction is needed, options for replacing the teeth will be discussed.

An implant is a permanent way to replace a missing tooth. The implant is a titanium replacement for the root of the missing tooth.  A simple surgery places the implant into the site of the missing tooth and after healing a crown is connected to it.  The final result is a tooth that looks and functions just as your original tooth did.

A bridge is a permanent way to replace a missing tooth. The teeth on either side of the space are prepared for crowns.  The bridge is made by the dental lab technician by connecting the two crowns to fill in the space of the missing tooth.  Once cemented the bridge looks and functions just like your natural tooth

A partial, also known as a removable partial denture, is another way to replace multiple missing teeth.  The partial is designed to be supported by the remaining teeth and replaces all the missing teeth in the upper or lower jaw.  The partial is removable, but while worn it restores the chewing function of your teeth and restores your smile.

INVISALIGN
DENTURES

Dr. McEwen is trained in the use of Invisalign to correct mild to moderate crowding and to correct the bite of adolescent and adult teeth.  Invisalign uses clear aligners which are worn daily that move the teeth.  Straight and aligned teeth not only look better, but they are healthier, easier to clean, and can help prevent problems associated with the bite.

A denture, also known as a plate or complete denture is a way to replace all the missing teeth in either the upper or lower jaw. Dentures are removable, but when worn, provide the ability to chew and smile.  Dr. McEwen has made many successful dentures and will work closely with you to create the smile that you want.

IMPLANT SUPPORTED DENTURES

Dr. McEwen is trained in the use of implants to support a removable denture, or to create a fixed option.  If your existing denture is loose, ask Dr. McEwen if implants are an option for you, to help improve chewing function and stability.  No more loose dentures.

SEDATION

Any dental procedure can cause anxiety, or fear.  We provide many options for calming your nerves if needed.  From Nitrous Oxide or laughing gas, to conscious sedation, Dr. McEwen is certified to provide a comfortable and pleasant experience for you.  Talk to Dr. McEwen about which option is best for you.
